Luoluo Hong

Luoluo Hong earned a PhD in Educational Leadership
& Research from Louisiana State University, a master of public health
degree in Health Promotion & Policy from Yale University in New Haven,
CT, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Amherst College in
Massachusetts.
Luoluo has served 16 years as a professional health educator and communication specialist in both the university- and community-based non-profit settings. She is a past member of the Board of Directors for the American College Health Association and a consulting editor for the Journal of American College Health. In addition, she has taught several undergraduate-level courses in the areas of health and wellness. Luoluo’s health-related scholarship has been published in books and refereed journals, and she is a sought-after regional and national keynote speaker for conferences that address health-related concerns. Luoluo has served as a consultant on issues related to health communications and health promotion for the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, the US Department of Justice’s Office on Violence Against Women, the US Department of Education’s Office of Safe & Drug-Free Schools, and the California Coalition Against Sexual Assault. Luoluo’s areas of expertise include violence prevention, women’s health promotion, reproductive health awareness (including HIV and other sexually transmitted infections), mental health concerns, and the role of media in shaping health-related norms and behaviors. She was recognized in 2006 by the American College Health Association as a Fellow for her outstanding record of contributions in the field of young adult and college health. |
